SPEECH THERAPY SESSION OPTIONS:

Individual Sessions

Children’s Speech Therapy Sessions are individualized to meet the needs of each and every child.

Group Sessions

Children with similar goals can be placed together for group therapy sessions.

CO-TREATMENT SESSIONS

Ongoing collaboration provided between SLP and pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to meet your child’s needs.  (45 minutes only)

Teletherapy

Teletherapy (online video conferencing) is also available via a HIPAA compliant platform upon request.

Session Timing:   

30 min. • 45 min. • 60 min.

I will recommend session frequency/length and work with each family to determine what works best for everyone.

What Exactly Is Speech Pathology?

Speech-language pathology is the evaluation and treatment of a variety of delays and disorders.  Speech-language pathologists (SLP) can work with people across the lifespan, from infants and toddlers to teenagers and senior citizens.  They treat delays and disorders related to speech and language.

Speech Related

Voice: Difficulty with the quality of the voice, can be too hoarse or abnormal in pitch

Fluency: Also known as stuttering; involuntary repetition of sounds and pauses in speech disrupting the rhythm of speech

Articulation and phonology: difficulty producing specific speech sounds or substituting/omitting sounds for another

Language Related

Language/cognitive disorders: Difficulty understanding others, sharing their thoughts and feelings, answering questions.  Can also have difficulty with paying attention, problem solving and organization

Pragmatics: Difficulty communicating with others socially (greeting others, asking questions); following the rules of conversation

1. Give me a call or send me an email!  You will speak directly with me to talk through your concerns.

2. We will begin the assessment process to learn more about your child’s strengths and needs.

3. As a team, we will then determine an appropriate plan of treatment and frequency for your child and family.

4. Therapy will begin!  I will be there to guide and support you throughout the process.
